Message from the President of FIABCI-Africa, E. Osita Okoli

Dear FIABCI Member,

I would like to formally invite our FIABCI family to be join me and our FIABCI World President as our guest as FIABCI delegates at FIABCI’s First Ever African Trade Mission!  Our trade mission will be an unforgettable experience – the perfect opportunity to network, build and enhance your business contacts with key delegates throughout the African region and experience the beauty of our part of the world.  FIABCI will be highlighted throughout the Trade Mission as the leading International Real Estate Federation in the world.  FIABCI delegates will be introduced to international investors, developers and professionals who will open up plenty of opportunities to conduct business within Africa and with key African dignitaries.  Our continent is welcoming each of you and looking forward to meeting our FIABCI family.

The FIABCI AfricanTrade Mission will feature an abundance of exciting highlights including tours of Cape Town, South Africa and Abuja, Nigeria.  We will explore key real estate and commercial developments and residential projects, participate in meetings and provide plenty of solid networking opportunities for you to utilize and build your business.  We will begin our Trade Mission in Cape Town, South Africa.  Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa and the largest land area.  It is the provincial capital of the Western Cape, the legislative capital of South Africa and a popular business and tourist destination, hosting 12 international conferences in 2010.   We will arrive at the Southern Sun Hotel where we will have our FIABCI Board Meetings.  Plans are underway for a wonderful Welcome Party hosted by FIABCI and our Principal Member, SAPOA.  You will have a chance to meet with South African Government Officials and Industry Leaders.  In addition, during the FIABCI free time scheduled, there are plenty of great opportunities for you to experience the South African culture and country.  If you are a culinary lover, Cape Town offers exquisite restaurants with mouthwatering cuisine.  There is plenty of shopping opportunities that you will enjoy.  If you love the outdoors, you must see Cape Town’s landmark, Table Mountain, a sandstone mountain which is home to more than 1.470 species of Fynbos (nectar eating Cape sugarbirds).  If a safari is something you have wanted to experience, you can embark on an elephant safari in the Garden Route and Klein Karoo.

Following our time in Cape Town, we will travel to Abuja, Nigeria where you will experience the natural beauty, the richness and diversity of Nigeria’s beautiful resources and special culture.  With crystal blue beaches, sparkling rivers and lakes, serene tropical forests, breathtaking views of waterfalls, your experience in Nigeria will be one you will always remember.  You will be welcomed in style during our first ever FIABCI African Trade Mission Welcoming Party.   Never before have FIABCI delegates experienced such an exciting welcoming event which includes our cultural traditions.  In Abuja, you will have a chance to participate in unique real estate tours and see the latest real estate projects currently underway.  There will be presentations from South Africa, Tanzania, Ghana, Egypt and Tunisia which will provide detailed information regarding real estate development and investment opportunities within these countries.  There will be an interesting panel hosted by Principal Member NIESV, which will provide a unique opportunity for FIABCI delegates to exchange information and gather knowledge about doing business within Africa.   Our Business-to-Business Networking Program will include a chance to meet with the Vice President of Nigeria as well as other Nigerian Government Officials and Industry Leaders.  Our FIABCI African Trade Mission is an opportunity you won’t want to miss!

To help you plan your trip to our wonderful country, the following is the tentative program of activities which we are organizing.  I will forward a final schedule of details for your reference shortly:
